Rhus tox. Uses in Veterinary Homeopathy

Rhus toxicodendron

Homeopathic remedy for

Joint pains and other arthritic conditions. It is classically indicated for chilly animals whose pain is worse upon initial movement but better with continued motion. Think of a 'rusty gate', the more you open and close it, the more it loosens up. The Rhus animal "warms up" and out of their pain.

Itching skin eruptions and other inflammatory conditions are also within its sphere of treatment, especially if the rash or symptoms resemble a reaction to poison ivy. Swelling, itching, and redness is common in animals that need Rhus tox.
